Doctors, doctors and more doctors
It feels like I have been to dr. offices at least once a week since Duncan has been home; whether it was for me or for him. Duncan has been to a couple of specialists the last two weeks. Last week we went to a pulmanologist (lung doctor) who put him on breathing treatments 2-3x's a day. I knew this would happen eventually because any preemie that has been on oxygen for a long period of time I think even a short period of time has some sort of lung damage. So he is doing that and he actually doesn't mind it-for now anyway. Then today he had to go to a cardiologist and have his heart checked. They had to make sure that the hole in his heart was not getting worse. See that picture? That is what he looked like the entire time we were at the Dr. He was not a happy baby. He cried the whole time. I had such a pounding headache when we left there. The Dr. said that the hole was a pin hole size and was nothing to worry about and they would check it again in a year. So good news there. I wasn't really worried, but I made Justin go with me because I couldn't handle it if they said he would need surgery. But he is doing great. He is gaining weight, eats like 4-5oz now and loves to be held and cuddled-most of the time. He does have times when he doesn't want to be held. He has also developed tears. This is sad, when he cries and a little tear comes out of his eye. He is also starting to smile a lot more and he is even close to getting a laugh. He is extremely ticklish which will be fun for us later and torture for him.

that's great news!
Doctors are a drag. Hooray for no heart surgery! We miss you guys and can't wait to see Duncan. Will he be out of quarantine by Christmas?
