Good advice

Thank you all for the great advice on the lactation problem. I am going to try the Mother's Milk Tea. I was also told about the oatmeal and will eat that each day-I love oatmeal so it won't be a problem. I am going to pump more frequently and through the night and I am also going to call the Le Leche League. I don't think I will try the beer unless I am absolutely desperate and talk to my Bishop first :) I knew I would get good advice if I put it on here.

Nat, I got some more recommendations from a midwife and birth professional list I'm on, I'll keep sending more as I get them. Oh, and I was told by a midwife that near beer should have the same effect as the real thing. So, here are the suggestions thus far:
Tasty Nursing Tea
More Milk tincture
near beer
three glasses of chocolate malt ovaltine per day
Homeopathic Lac Vir

I know there are lots of ideas, don't overwhelm yourself trying too many, just choose a few that you think you can stick to and do those. But, I'll keep sending suggestions hoping that a few work for you.

Here's another suggestion:
"Increase pumping time and frequency
Blessed thistle capsules up to 3, 3 times daily
Domperidone (I can forward my info and a presciption from Dr. Newman)
and this seems like simple info but spending as much time as possible near baby will also help."

Find something (or someone) to laugh at each day! :) That is my advice. Go on a date with Justin. Love on your adorable little boy! You are doing fabulous!

Beer? That's weird! I guess it really does help you get get loose... in more ways than one.

yeah, right Steph. Who would think beer would do that, but I have actually had several other people tell me beer as well. I might have to invite people over if I'm going to drink a beer. :) My friend from work would surely love to see that.

Annie you are so fantastic. I really appriciate all the time you took to look this info up. I am eating the oatmeal and I bought the mother's milk tea, but I don't really like tea so I will try the ovaltine-that I could handle.

Also, I can't get onto your blog.
